AIDS Memorial Quilt Exhibition

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, as the world marks 30 years of AIDS. With panels on display in the main hall of the art center as well as on the back dock, the Torpedo Factory Art Center is honored to host this unparalleled opportunity to experience this highly charged symbol of the AIDS crisis, and the largest community art project in the world.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center in partnership with the Alexandria Commission on HIV/AIDS hosts a special opening reception featuring a sneak peek of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Suggested donation is $15 with proceeds benefiting the Commission.
Closing Reception: Wednesday, July 25th • 6:00 - 8:00pm • FREE
The Alexandria Commission on HIV/AIDS in partership with the Torpedo Factory Art Center hosts this community event with a short program starting at 7:00pm. Mayor William Euille is the honorary chair for this event.
