Drawn In: Taking a Closer look at Julia Dzikiewicz’s Solo Exhibit

October 10, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join the Gallery Director for an in depth look at Julia Dzikiewicz’s Solo Show “Pink Hat Protest Paintings”.

In this free, interactive event, participants are invited to take a closer look at the work created by The Art League’s September solo artist, Julia Dzikiewicz. After a critical viewing exercise, participants will engage in an in-depth discussion of the work, as well as the artist’s process and intent. Wine and light refreshments will be served.

Julia Dzikiewicz’s paintings express her perception of the rising racism, misogyny, and violence in the US and celebrate the women who are fighting for a kinder and more inclusive world.

For more information contact The Art League Gallery (gallery@theartleague.org or 703-683-1780).
