"My inspiration comes from my love of nature and an especially strong feeling of connection to it. Different cultures, myths and traditions fascinate me and supply an unlimited source of ideas and beginnings for my prints and paintings.

Here at the factory I usually create monotypes and intaglio prints. Experimentation often directs me to try to express my concepts in other media, both in printmaking and painting. I also paint in oils, encaustic and acrylics."

A graduate of the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Witschonke's art is in private and public collections both nationally and internationally.
