" A real sense of embedded
meaning that is shaped partly by a deep sense of time- of
ages and ideas past that we can't quite get hold of. The echo
between ideas... the handling that reinforces the reality
of images gives much to think about. "-Virginia Mecklenburg,
Museum of American Art, July 1993
" Is the message 'this worldly'
or 'other worldly'? Maybe it doesn't matter, for her aesthetic
elegance is truly engaging. - Carole Faulk
"...extremely edgy...extremely
and positively ambiguous, daring in format, unusual in subject
matter.. -Dominique Nahas, Neuberger Museum, December 1990
